Reformation or no reformation? A fancy royal dress of the cleargy has not changed at all.

I was listening to one Brazilian song and the words made me think of the REFORMATION - 500.

The words are as follows:
But a promise would be fulfilled
In the womb of a woman would emerge
A seed that the hand of God planted
It was Jesus, the Savior! [...]
He arrived
No sword, no shield
He had arrived with no spear
He arrived
To establish the kingdom of the new covenant [...]
He arrived without a throne, without a crown, without the knights
And walked to slaughter his own blood - that was the price
To put an end to the error that started in the garden ...
("Ele chegou" by Anderson Freire)

When I see the fancy dress of the clergy that so strikingly opposes whatever I know about Jesus from the gospels, I do not think that reformation is ever happened.. Just look at the picture again! Or am I the only one that sees two different religions here? One is a religion of kingship, gold, richies, power, might, politics and influence, and another one is a religion of the "kenosis" or - selfless giving of oneself, the Son emptied Himself of all his majesty to draw near to poor, sick, unhappy, depressed, marginalized people and proclaim to them the good news of the new Kingdom of Heaven where anyone is welcomed!
